Hi Loves! It has been such a long time since I’ve been here to chat with you, but between Covid, my IG getting hacked, and changing careers, I’ve had little time for anything.
Recently though Slate Med Spa reached out for a collab and guess what it was? RF Microneedling. Remember I posted about this a while ago? (2021 to be exact!) Though I loved the experience my results were short lived as I only went for one session and the recommendation is 3 to. 4, each a month apart for REAL long lasting results.
And since I am a sucker for punishment, I said yes. jk,jk. I actually do have a high tolerance for pain. Compared to the first time, where most of my discomfort was on my forehead, this time around I did have discomfort around my jawline and as well as my neck. This of course is due to thin skin and closer to bone.
For this visit I met with Lesli, who was lovely and super knowledgeable. She did everything to make me comfortable by making sure my face was numb, that I was warm (blanket) and checking in on me periodically by asking how I was doing. The session took about 30 minutes.
Afterwards I was given post procedure instructions which included staying out of sun for 24 hours, mild cleansing the next day and most importantly…SUNSCREEN!
We all spend so much time and money on these procedures but some times we don’t follow up and we really are throwing money down the drain. These post care procedures are so very important if we want to see lasting results.
As of today, day 3, there is no more redness or puffiness. I can already see a difference around my cheekbones and eyes. I am so excited!!
My next visit is November and the final one in December. Though I have already started seeing results after just one session, collagen production can take up to 6 months and results should last anywhere for 12-18 months.
